from 12 reviewsThis is a repeat purchase from this vendor. I bought a snorkel last time, and the quality was excellent. This time, I bought a dive mask and an underwater scooter. The lenses of the mask are very clear, and the propulsion device has powerful performance, making it perfect for snorkeling and free diving enthusiasts.
This underwater scooter is truly amazing! The dual motors are powerful yet quiet, and the 2-speed options make it super versatile. The floating design is perfect—it’s easy to travel with and totally kid-safe. The action camera mount? Absolutely perfect for capturing epic underwater moments. Totally worth it!
This underwater scooter is really easy to use. It’s super simple to get the hang of—just press a button to start, so even if you're not into tech, it’s no big deal. The thrust is decent, and moving around underwater is a lot easier than you'd expect without much effort. But if you’re planning on using it for a while, it’s probably a good idea to bring a spare battery.
The exterior design is sleek and stylish, with a streamlined body that photographs beautifully. The overall look makes it a standout piece, perfect for capturing great shots while in use.
Cruising on the Great Barrier Reef a friend got a 2" rope wrapped around his prop shaft, I grabbed my Hookah and with a hacksaw it took 2 hours to cut free. This would have been impossible without the Hookah, using a snorkel would have taken days but being able to calmly stay underneath the boat, even in waves and tidal current allowed me to get it done. 2 hours only used 50% battery. It was a game changer and was the main reason I purchased in case I needed to dive on my boat, so was glad to help a friend out.
Keeping my props clean also is easy with the Hookah and ultimately saves fuel etc. Very happy with my purchase it paid for itself on the 1st use. Highly recommend, good value and easy to use. Last time I used it, I lost the air tube (my fault) and rang Steve up and he very quickly sorted me out with replacement part, very happy with the service.
I work in the marine industry as a diver and use hookah systems to dive clean hulls, I was looking for a new compressor and came across the dive buddy system, at first I was super sceptical but after I spoke to the dive buddy team over the phone I thought why not give it a go. Honestly until you try something you will never know and so far the dive buddy system has been super helpful with my job, I no longer have to carry around a heavy compressor and I don’t have to find somewhere to plug it it. Now I just jump in and get the job done and any boats on a hosts on anchor are no longer a problem to do. I also took my family diving and we dived all day on the tagalooma wrecks, battery lasts as long as promoted and I’m super happy with the system. Give it a go, half the price of a normal hooks system and work’s wonderfuly.
This new DiveBuddy portahookah is unbelievable. Was sceptical but after talking with Steve and being assured he personally stood behind the 1 year warranty and can send parts to fix where ever we sailed to, paid up and now I am happy I did. Weve used it for diving for lobsters and a light bottom clean and it works great, plenty of air for 2 of us.
I can recommend the DiveBuddy. For the price and warranty, you cant go wrong.
I bought a Portahookah (now DiveBuddy) about 2 years ago, it’s worked a treat when diving to clean my yacht hull and propeller, also replace anodes underneath. I’ve used it to inspect my mooring chain and also replace chain.
